Like last year, my first destination was London, where I was going to stay for a week at a friend couple’s apartment. My plane took off on the 2nd and I got to London the next day at around 3PM. Overall I had a really pleasant experience with my flights (I had a stop in Frankfurt airport and then a smaller plane ride of two hours to London), despite traveling next to two newborn babies. For some reason I ALWAYS get babies sitting next to me on planes! It must be because I choose the space specially designed for families with babies because it has more room for the legs. Totally not regretting my decision though, because I usually don’t sleep on the plane and, if I do, I don’t hear the babies/kids at all LOL.

That first day I basically spent it SHOPPING like crazy.

I decided I wanted to get that done first so then I could have time to do all the rest of the cultural stuff. I’m glad I did! Because I ended up changing my plans COMPLETELY.

Primark had a HUGE amount of Harry Potter goods and I almost died because I just knew I wouldn’t be able to take it all home! 🙁

5TH OF JUNE

This day had been already planned because I was going to the Harry Potter Warner Bros Studio Tour again ♥ I had a blast, and I did take a lot of pictures, but that is coming in another post! 😀

During the morning, I decided to walk around the City and went to visit Westminster Cathedral that I hadn’t visited on my last visit. It’s by far the most beautiful church I’d ever been to! St Paul is amazing, but Westminster is just… I don’t know, I liked it more! They started playing a song right when I walked in and it definitely added up to the whole experience — the acoustics of the place are astounding!

Part of the reason why I like old churches and buildings are the things that happened there CENTURIES ago — weddings, coronations, in the case of the Abbey people buried that are SO old… to me it’s really extraordinary to think I’m stepping right where people from centuries past stepped on, had important conversations and celebrated at.

Right before entering the HP Tour for a 2nd time. You can definitely notice how delighted I was to be back for another experience!

Every fashion blogger should have a picture in front of the iconic Peggy Porschen! 😛

6TH OF JUNE

This was the day where I decided to throw my plans out the window 😛 My friends recommended me to do at least two historical castles during my stay, even if it meant I had to travel quite a bit. Dover was definitely the farthest but so worth it! I had never seen something so old and majestic before. I can’t believe it’s medieval! Did you know it was finished in 1217-56?

Despite spending there major part of my day, I still couldn’t make the best of it and I definitely need to go back some day to take a better look at the Roman Lighthouse and see for real the white cliffs!

Luckily, I was able to see the coast of france from the top, so that definitely adds up to the journey ♥ I was so lucky there were no clouds during that day!

A specific post about Dover will be coming next month!

7TH OF JUNE

Equally amazing and important in history is the Tower of London, a sight I missed from the inside last year because I was so scared of a replica terrorist attack (if you remember well, last year there was an attack on the 3rd of July on Tower Bridge, and I avoided the area like the plague just in case).

Later in the evening I changed again, more formally this time, to have dinner at La Pont de la Tour which I highly recommend eating at and it’s not that expensive for the kind of place it is from the inside!

Anecdote time: You can notice how stiff I’m in this picture right? Well, I was SO FREAKING SCARED OF FALLING OVER! (and no, I wasn’t drunk!). It was so hard to jump there, and I obviously made the mistake of looking down at the other side LOL.

8TH OF JUNE

Another great unplanned trip for this day! Hampton Court Palace. You guys HAVE to visit this palace in your first visit; please please please DO NOT leave it for a second visit because it’s too amazing to be second! It’s heavy in history, beautiful, and has the most beautiful gardens I’ve ever seen in my life.

There is also another post incoming for this Palace as well!

9TH OF JUNE

Didn’t do much on the last day; mostly relaxed at the apartment in the morning, watching on TV the Queen’s birthday celebrations (amazing!), and then went out for Portobello Market and Camden Town.
